another random, un-named draft

There were thousands more where you came from.
Still I spun to the rhythm of your shaking and shivering,
watching as night ran laps around the sun and wrapped
it in his velvet blanket, as you’d wrapped me in your own.
I felt for heaven and brushed flame instead.
Upside down your smile was a frown, so I hung in confusion
the way that was easiest and wondered how
I’d managed to slip into such handspun chaos
and how I’d been able to hurt you already.
There were thousands more where I came from,
and you twisted the images in your head
until we both existed, upside down and rightside up,
as if one direction was correct.
